I have been a Consultant in Metabolic Medicine & Clinical Biochemistry since 2014, specialising in cardiometabolic medicine, lipid disorders, diabetes, inherited metabolic diseases, electrolyte imbalance and the assessment of blood tests. This includes use of metabolic profiles and personalised cardiovascular risk assessment. I have interests in other metabolic conditions such as body malodour, fish odour syndrome, disorders of glucose and fat metabolism, metabolic optimisation and metabolic profiles. My practice involves patient consultations, clinical liaison, interpretation of laboratory results and mentoring doctors and medical students. My clinical work has been extensively recognised, for which I have received NHS Clinical Excellence Awards.

I have interests in other metabolic conditions such as metabolic syndrome, body malodour, fish odour syndrome, disorders of glucose and fat metabolism, unexplained tiredness (fatigue), heavy metal poisoning, individualised testing, kidney stone disease, metabolic optimisation and metabolic profiles.

I am based at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust where I am a Clinical Director for Laboratory Medicine. I welcome private patients for face to face appointments/remote consultations at Nuffield Health, Bristol Hospital, Spire Bristol Hospital and 25 Harley Street, London.

I see patients with a range of disorders including cholesterol disorders, prediabetes and metabolic syndrome, disorders of electrolytes and investigation of rare metabolic disorders, investigation of heavy metals, renal stone disease. I offer health screening services while advising patients and doctors on the implications of blood tests.

I also see patients with metabolic effects of antipsychotics and antidepressants; investigation of metabolic disorders and metabolic optimisation. I follow up patients as part of optimisation while planning surgery, pregnancy or weight loss. The same applies to patients following childbirth, surgery, prolonged hospitalisation or chemotherapy.

I see private patients at Nuffield Health, Bristol Hospital, Spire Bristol Hospital, and 25 Harley Street, London. This may be face to face or remote consultations.

I see NHS patients at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Trust. I accept NHS referrals via NHS e-Referral Service (e-RS).
